CHRISTINA
EGGENSCHWILER

Curiosity, clarity and joie de vivre are values that Christina Eggenschwiler particularly resonates with.

Over the last 12 years she has been offering regular yoga classes, private trainings, retreats, workshops, organizing as well as teaching for festivals and leading teacher trainings. Since 2014 she is in the organizing team of Guerilla Yoga Bern, a non-profit charity project. Since 2019 she is an association board member of Friends of Saanenwald and responsible for the department “meditation and yoga”.

As she continues to grow and expand her practice of yoga, self-inquiry, and movement, her contributions to the community continue to evolve. Through her openness to modalities outside the "yogic" realm, she constantly finds a new appreciation for the human body, the mind and the soul, for their interplay and union.

The Yin of Yoga, Donnerstag, 16.00 – 17.30 Uhr, Hotel Belvédère

Join Chris for a restorative and meditative yoga practice that will help you release tension, improve flexibility, and nourish your body on a deep level. This class is designed to be slow-paced, with a focus on long-held postures that will help you access your fascia and connective tissue.

We'll start with some gentle movements to warm up the body, followed by a series of yin postures that will focus on stretching and releasing tension in the deeper layers of the body. Each posture will be held for several minutes to allow the fascia to slowly release, helping to improve mobility and flexibility.

Throughout the class, we'll also incorporate some mindfulness techniques to help you stay present and connected to your body. We'll explore how the breath can be used to release tension and soothe the nervous system, creating a sense of calm and relaxation.

By the end of the class, you'll most probably feel rejuvenated, deeply nourished and relaxed, with a greater sense of ease and openness in the body. This class is suitable for all levels, and no prior experience with yin yoga is necessary. Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement, and bring a mat and any props you like to use, such as blankets, bolsters, or blocks.

Come ready to slow down, tune in, and explore the power of the fascia in this nourishing yin yoga practice.
